The best simple pizza dough

This pizza dough is so easy to make and only requires a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. It’s the perfect dough for a thin and crispy pizza crust, and it’s also great for making calzones or stromboli. Just add your favorite toppings and bake!


1 cup (240 ml) warm water

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cups (360 grams) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

1 teaspoon salt


In a large bowl, combine the water, yeast, and olive oil. Let sit for a few minutes until the yeast is dissolved. Add the flour and salt, and stir until the dough comes together.

Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes. The dough should be smooth and slightly sticky. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (218 degrees Celsius).

Divide the dough into two pieces and roll out to your desired thickness. Place on a greased baking sheet and add your favorite toppings. Bake in your pizza oven for a minute or two or until the crust is golden brown.
